Mr. Emmanuel Gyimah is currently a Member of the Council of Association of Ghana Industries (AGI) and Managing Director of Mina Chemicals. After secondary education in 1981, Mr. Gyimah entered the School of Administration at the University of Ghana, Legon, Accra to pursue a B.Sc. in Administration (Accounting Option). Determined to work at the senior management level in the business world and subsequently have his own businesses, Mr. Gyimah entered the Institute of Professional Studies, Ghana and acquired the Membership of the Association of Chartered Accountants (ACCA), 1994. He also attended GIMPA – CIM Executive School for the Professional Postgraduate Diploma in Marketing (CIM-UK) and followed it with the GIMPA – Executive Master’s in Business Administration (EMBA). Mr. Gyimah now has both fellowship and membership of professional institutions namely Fellow, the Association of Chartered Verified Accountants (FCCA); Member, Institute of Chartered Accountants Ghana; and Associate Member, Chartered Institute of Marketing – UK.
Mr. Gyimah worked at Chemproha Chemical Export B.V Holland,from 1986-1987. Mr. Gyimah also worked as the Accountant, Project Management Unit, EdSAC, Ministry of Education, 1987-1989. Mr. Gyimah became the Director, Finance & Administration, Mina Chemical Enterprise Limited from 1989 -1994. At Mina Chemicals, he was responsible for activities of the department, while he prepared annual budgets and financial statements.
Mr. Gyimah left Mina Chemicals to become a consultant, Price Waterhouse Associates Ghana Limited, a firm of Chartered Accountants and Management Consultants, from February 1994 to June 1994.
Mr. Gyimah returned to Mina Chemical Enterprise Limited as the Managing Director in July 1994 and remained at post till date. Mr. Gyimah pursues other activities outside his role as the Managing Director of Mina Chemicals. He has been a Council Member, Association of Ghana Industries (AGI) since 2010 and has been functioning as the Chairman, AGI Chemical Sector. He has also been a Member of the Governing Board of the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) since 2010 and Chairman EPA Audit Report Implementation Committee (ARIC), also since 2010. He is a Member and past President, Accra Premier LIONS Club; Melvin Jones Fellow, LIONS Club International Foundation; and Past Chairman, Zone 161, LIONS Clubs International District 403A.
